Tips for local professionals

Accountants in Coventry will be advised on how best to help businesses dealing with the issues that arise prior to the onset of insolvency.

Cranfield Business Recovery, of Youell House in Coventry, will hold its first ‘Tech-Bite Live’ seminar on Tuesday, April 29, to help the city’s finance experts pass on tips for dealing with directors.

The main focus will be on how to guide directors and senior management away from the various traps which exist leading up to a corporate insolvency.

Tony Mitchell, from Cranfield Business Recovery, said: “There are obviously big concerns because of the credit crunch and although there is no need to panic, it’s important to make sure everyone is ready if the worst happens.

“Our aim is to raise awareness on how best to deal with insolvency and can hopefully benefit the professionals dealing with these problems. We will be offering hints, tips and facts and by bringing so many experts to one event, we can all sharpen our skills.

“It’s the first of what will become a regular quarterly fixture. We’re delighted to be at The Herbert, which will provide a top class local venue for our discussion.”

The seminar will be at The Herbert Art Gallery in Coventry city centre. The event will run from 12.30pm to 1.15 pm, with time for a buffet lunch and networking until 2pm.
