Deal saves jobs at timber dealer

About 10 jobs have been saved after a timber merchant which suffered cashflow problems was sold.

Weston and Bolton, in Gipsy Lane, Leicester has been bought by an undisclosed third party after the company went into administration.

A spokesman for administrators Cranfield Recovery said the company had difficulties related to its landlord, but would not give further details.

The company will be registered as 30692 Realisations.

The spokesman said “The company has been bought and will continue to trade with about 10 jobs saved”.

“There is a new management team in charge and the former directors will be retained on an employee basis.”

Administrator Brett Barton, said: “Following the decision to place Weston and Bolton into administration, we are pleased to announce that a package of financial measures has been achieved to guarantee the future of the company.

“Western and Bolton will continue to trade from its Leicester base as a limited company.”
