Coventry experts help City club call last orders

A LONG established Coventry club has turned to a firm of city centre experts to help ease the pain of calling time on the business.
Foleshill Liberal Club, in Lockhurst Lane, went into solvent liquidation and city centre firm Cranfield Business Recovery is now playing a key role in assisting the members to wind up the affairs of the Club and trying to sell the premises on its behalf.
Cranfield Business Recovery is a leading insolvency practice and has vast experience in dealing with clubs of this type as well as other organisations such as charities and not for profit companies.
The club has been running in Coventry since the 1800s and closed after membership dwindled. Its closure also reflects the increasing national trend in recent years of pub and social club closures.
Gloria Gautam, one of the voluntary directors of the club, said: “It’s a shame because I don’t think there are many clubs left but we couldn’t have gone on much longer. Cranfield Business Recovery has been a great help.”
